Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert has an opening for a full-time, term professional cooking instructor. Duties include the following:
1. Instruct cooking students in the Professional, Institutional and/or Short Order Cooking programs all content of their respective curriculum.
2. Instruct cook apprentices in all three levels of their respective curriculum.
3. Plan and deliver instruction, evaluate student performance, present demonstrations and workshops.
4. Establish and maintain community contacts within the industry.
Qualifications:
1. Grade 12 or equivalent.
2. Journeyperson certificate in cooking.
3. Two years post-journeyperson recent/relevant cook experience, baking and pastry arts.
4. Effective communication skills (written and oral).
5. Effective interpersonal skills.
6. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
