Description

A leader in senior care and personal care seeks a  Personal Care Home Supervisor. The Supervisor's position is a hand's on, care giving position with about 2-3 hours on average per day of Supervisory duties.

Our Care Home is secure for residents with memory issues/wandering, we do personal care for the residents including oral medication management, assistance with bathing and dressing as necessary, reminders, we serve all meals and snacks,  we do not do medical procedures such as catheter care, oxygen management, injectable medications,  residents must be ambulatory.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Resident Assessments
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with the Support Services Supervisor
- Developing and implementing activities for residents in collaboration with the Activities Person and the Support Services Supervisor
- Hiring, training, scheduling, supervising and disciplining the care home staff.
- Implementing safe medication management regimes
- Ensuring the care home meets all licensing requirements
- Communicating with resident's families
- Communicating with the Health Region and community resource personnel (i.e. doctors, hospital, CPAS etc.)
- Any other duties as assigned by the Housing Manager or owner's representative.

Requirements:
-Must have a minimum of Special Care Aid training
-Excellent ability to communicate in English - both verbally and written
- Supervisory and care giving experience required
- Must have completed all licensing training requirements (i.e Food Safe, Medication Management, First Aid, WHMIS)

Hours of Work:
- Typical hours would be Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
- Required to be available for additional hours for move-ins, emergencies, staff training etc.
- Required to be on-call evenings and weekends for consultation or to cover shifts.
