Description

Job Summary:
The community selected Prevention Services Worker will provide an alternate approach to the well-being of the child, the family and the community that is based on the development of prevention services resting on the foundations of First Nations values and beliefs.  The context of prevention services development will be discussed with the support of family and community members.  The Prevention Services Worker will network with community based programs, the Pheasant Rump Prevention Committee and YTCCFS Inc. to identify and provide relevant community based prevention services.
Preference will be given to a community member and/or resident of Pheasant Rump First Nation.
Qualifications: Must possess significant experience in the human services field or possess  a four (4) year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline/experience, Bachelor of Social Work (BSW or BISW), or Certificate in Social Work (CSW or CISW).
Must possess knowledge of community worldview, cultural perspectives and plurality, knowledge of Nakota culture, traditions and values.
A minimum of one (1) year of proven experience in community interaction and development.
Must submit a current Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check
Must complete YTCCFS - ACI (Automated Client Index)
Provide a current Prohibited Drug Test Report Certified by a member in good standing of the College of Physicans and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
Must possess a Valid Class 5 Sask. Driver's License.
