Description

SCHR is seeking a team oriented psychiatrist for generalized psychiatry service, ranging from children/adolescents to a senior population.  SCHR offers integrated mental health & addiction services including a transitional house in Estevan for addiction, day hospital in Weyburn. The psychiatrist will be part of a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, psychologists & addiction counsellors. He/she will provide team leadership in a collegial approach & work with external bodies. He/she will provide emergency coverage on rotational basis (1 in 3) & travel to satellite clinic to provide services at least once a week.

Qualifications:
certification or eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada via examination
eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Saskatchewan
Experience providing Generalist Psychiatry services in a catchment model
Demonstrable evidence in multidisciplinary approach of care/management
Experience in LEAN an asset  
Understanding of SK provincial laws/regulations of commitment & release of the mentally ill under the Mental Health Services Act an asset
