Cathedral Bakery is currently looking for an immediate permanent day-time Bakers Assistant to join our Bakery team!
We are looking for a friendly, motivated and passionate Baker who can work independently in a fast paced environment. The right candidate will have a passion for baking and assist the Productions Managers and Bakery staff with fulfilling customer orders. The successful candidate may also assist with wholesale deliveries, therefore a valid drivers license and vehicle is an asset.
As a Bakers Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Baking bread, cookies, pastries, buns and cakes. You will also be required to slice and package all products.
- Assisting the Bakery team with fulfilling wholesale orders and ensuring the quality of the products meet the standards set by Cathedral Bakery.
- Making icing, fondant, squares, perogies, etc.
- Decorating cakes and cupcakes.
- Assisting the Bakery team with replenishing stock and baking in the retail store front.
- Packaging customer orders and processing payments.
- Maintaining an organized, clean and safe working environment, including assisting with washing dishes, cleaning displays, windows, counters, washing equipment, sweeping and mopping the floors.
- Answering phones.
- Wholesale deliveries.

Candidates with previous experience and knowledge of safe food handling are an asset. Training will be available for the right candidate.
