Description

Writing for internal and external communications for the agency will be a primary focus for this one-year term position. This will include writing for job postings, media/news releases, speeches, brochures, websites, annual reports, and social media. You will also be able to edit and proof read your own writing as well as others.

In this role, you will monitor social media and media stories in-depth and identify key issues important to the Ranch. You will also have the ability to research and interview co-workers, clients, and stakeholders.

As a member of the Communications team, you will also be responsible for updating websites, brochures, ordering communication materials, and event planning. You must be able to work independently and able to meet tight deadlines. Some travel is required.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in journalism or public relations and/or three years of related experience.  Solid verbal and written communication skills are required.  Reliable transportation and valid class 5 drivers license with a good driving record is required.

Experience with recording video and video editing is an asset.

Starting wage is $43,014-$47,985 depending on education and experience.
