Description

Cross Borders is a progressive exploration
drilling company looking to fill 1 Auger Rig Labourer position. Cross Borders offers potential year round drilling employment.

As an auger rig labourer you will be required to:
Lift 50+ lbs routinely
Understand how to connect and clean augers
Shove cuttings away from hole
Set-up no go zone and muster points
Find all grease nipples and grease rig
Fuel up rig
Ensure tools are clean and organized
Assist driller with repairs
Drive a truck with a trailer and be able to back it up accurately and safely
Know how to use various hand tools and understand the proper tool for the job
Check oil on various vehicles
Operate a skidsteer
Listen and take orders from driller
Must have exceptional teamwork abilities and good communication skills

Please note that a drug test and fit test are
required pre-employment. Also required are up to
date H2S Alive, PST or CSTS, First aid with
CPR and AED and a valid drivers license (3A would be an asset).

 - Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems and drill bits
 - Handle, sort and move drill pipes, tools, cement and other materials
 - Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment
 - Clean up rig areas
 - Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment
 - Assist other workers to maintain drilling equipment on drill floor
