Facility: BATTLEFORDS UNION HOSPITAL
Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Environmental Services, the Facilities Maintenance Manager is accountable for the direction, control, co-ordination, and efficient operation of the Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH), Primary Health Centre (PHC), and Hopeview Recovery Home maintenance departments. The Facilities Maintenance Manager is also accountable for the direction, control, co-ordination, and efficient operation of the Regional Bio Medical Engineering dept with responsibilities region wide. The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for administration of regional safety programs, regional fire policies, the preventative maintenance program, and is required to adhere to all legislated requirements relative to building operations.
The Facilities Maintenance Manager provides functional guidance and supervision to the Regional Tradespeople for projects as well as Security Personnel within the Managers sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Fourth Class Stationary Engineer Certificate or Journeyman trade certification of same nature/qualification.
Minimum 3 years experience in a maintenance setting preferably in a healthcare setting.
Ability to lead the change process within areas of responsibility.
Ability to communicate effectively both within the organization and with third party contractors and inspectors.
Valid driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of provincial building codes.
Experience with Domestic Boilers is beneficial.

Hours of Work: In a 1 week rotation: 5 shifts of 7.50 hours
