Job Description: THE REGISTERED NURSE A IS RESPONSIBLE TO THE NURSING UNIT MANAGER OR DIRECTOR OF NURSING.  THE REGISTERED NURSE A IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING A HIGH STANDARD OF PATIENT CARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VISION, MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY OF THE PRINCE ALBERT PARKLAND HEALTH REGION. AS A MEMBER OF THE VICTORIA HOSPITAL NURSING DEPARTMENT, THE REGISTERED NURSE A HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION OF COMPREHENSIVE CLIENT CENTERED CARE.  
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Perioperative Nursing/Registered Nurses - Advanced Certificate or equivalent
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)

104 hours in 6 weeks.  Responsible for safe delivery of immediate peri-operative nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with recognized professional practice. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed the peri-operative program. Must have minimum 1 year OR nursing experience.  Will be expected to take call evenings and weekends.
