Play & Discover Early learning Centre fosters a learning program that is holistic, responsive and developmentally appropriate. Early Childhood Educators are encouraged and supported to continue learning in order to provide the children with high quality care and education. P&D ELC bases its practice on current knowledge and research about child development and learning.
We are seeking a dynamic individual committed to the early childhood profession. The successful applicant would work one on one with a child who has diverse abilities. You would work in partnership with the lead educator in the group to facilitate learning experiences, transitions and daily routines.
Applicants must have an Early Childhood Education certificate or diploma or equivalent to an ECE level II or III. Please do not send a resume if you don't meet the education requirements.

- First Aid Certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
- Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
- Assess the developmental level of children
- Knowledge of licensing regulations
Additional Skills
- Maintain day care supplies and equipment
- Assist in housekeeping duties
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
