SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Permanent,Full Time Position

Seaboard Specialty Grains and Foods
Owned by Seaboard Corporation
Located in Regina, Saskatchewan

Seaboard Specialty Grains and Foods is a division of Seaboard Corporation which specializes in buying and selling grain and special crops into the export and domestic markets.

DUTIES:

Prepare financial statements in accordance with Canadian and US GAAP
Reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, and inter-company balances
Accounts for commodity exchange trades including futures and options
Tracking of Canadian and US$ transactions
Oversees the day-to-day activities, including overseeing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
Collects, compiles, analyzes and reports financial and operational data for senior management
Performs other related duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional Accounting Designation
Bachelor Degree in Commerce/Administration.
Three to five years progressively responsible, related experience in financial and management analysis and reporting.
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of financial accounting.
Demonstrated ability to prepare accounting and financial reports.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Experience with accounting systems.
