Description

The Regina QuAppelle Health Region is expanding our services in the specialty of Geriatric Medicine and has a wonderful opportunity for a Geriatrician in a community-based, contract position.

In a Dyad relationship, with the Program Director, the successful candidate will co-lead and co-manage the development of the Geriatric Program in the RQHR and other Health Regions in Southern Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will have an interest in community geriatrics and will be responsible for clinical leadership of the multidisciplinary team, delivering assessments close to the point of referral and interventions for people requiring Care of the Elderly secondary care liaising with the other Health Regions in Southern Saskatchewan. The Geriatrician will ensure delivery of a high quality service to patients in line with the Regina QuAppelle Health Regions strategic objectives.

The Regina QuAppelle Health Region is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. It is our expectation that the successful candidate will obtain a Clinical Faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine.
