Description

Reporting to the Field Supervisor and the Customer Service Office Manager, this position is responsible to: perform crop inspections on farms; gather data; carry out fieldwork with customers who have suffered a financial loss; and measure bins and acreages accurately.

The knowledge and skills required for this position are acquired through completion of Grade 12 supplemented with many years of farming experience.

Detailed knowledge of farming practices and crops with the ability to identify crop disease, insect damage and other causes of loss.
Innovative thinker with strong problem solving skills and the ability to exercise good judgement.
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrates accountability with the ability to work independently.
Strong mathematical skills.
Experience with computers.
Good physical condition with the ability to walk long distances and climb ladders.
Preference will be given to those applications with knowledge of SCIC programs, policies and procedures.

The successful candidate must present a work ethic supporting our corporate values and Saskatchewan agriculture, must provide an acceptable criminal record check and should the successful candidate participate in the Crop Insurance or AgriStability Programs, their account must be in good standing. In addition, the successful candidate must possess a valid drivers license and have a suitable vehicle to carry out responsibilities. This position is required to travel throughout the province and work weekends when necessary.
