Full Time Line Cook
Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. The Line Cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively.
Responsibilities (Abbreviated)
Prepare variety of foods according to customers orders or instructions of a supervisor, following approved procedures
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as outlined
Cleans, portions, cuts and or peels various food items to prepare for cooking and or serving
Has a very good knowledge base of vegetable and cold food prep
Knows the basic principles of Breakfast and Cold food cookery.
Applicants must be flexible to work evenings and weekends
Experience and Skills (Abbreviated)
Red Seal Certification an asset
Minimum 1-5 year of cooking experience required
Demonstrated knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required
Demonstrated proficiency in the following competencies:
Service Orientation, Affiliative Communication, Achievement Oriented, Adaptability, Accountability, Initiative
