Description

Menno Homes is about RELATIONSHIPS! If you are a community minded person, who enjoys helping others, this is the place for you. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with adults with intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities.

DSP's work in beautiful home settings assisting people with all aspects of their daily lives. This includes assisting with the preparation of delicious and nutritious meals, conversation around the dinner table, being a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, a partner in prayer, having fun doing the things the participants love, helping out around the house, assisting with laundry, personal hygiene and helping people to engage with others in their community.

At Menno Homes the most important thing is to believe in the inherent value and worthiness of ALL people. If you have that foundation we will help you develop the skills and knowledge to be a successful support person. That being said, we are also looking for people that have friends or family members with intellectual disabilities, experience providing support, and related education and training. Part of the job requires driving, so we also need people to have a valid Saskatchewan Drivers licence. Lastly, we will have to ask you to provide us with a clean criminal record check, including a vulnerable sectors check before we can get you started.

In addition to the joys of the job itself, we also pay a competitive wage, offer a variety of training and development opportunities, and have an impressive benefits package. The hours of work could be up to 39 hours per week.

We are so grateful for all of our applicants, but because we receive many, we are only able to contact those selected for an interview. Thanks for considering us, we cant wait to meet you.
