Human Resources Manager Position:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating all daily human resources activities such as employment, training and development, compensation, performance management and employee relations. You will ensure that all human resources related programs support the organization's goals, policies and objectives within the appropriate regulations and generally accepted standards of sound human resource management practices. You are an excellent communicator and have the ability to handle complex employee situations confidentially and with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for posting and recruitment of positions up to the Senior Management level; consulting with Britco (DFF Subsidiary) HR Manager to ensure consistent Employer Branding in the marketplace
* Development and implementation of employee retention strategies
* Coordinate new employee orientation
* Measure and report monthly on hourly turnover, absenteeism rate and retention
* Advise and coordinate on disciplinary matters
* Administer and provide interpretation of the collective agreement
* Work closely with the Union to promote harmonious relationship between management, union and employees
* Administer the Performance Management Program in consultation with the Britco HR Manger
* Enforce compliance with all Labour Code and Employment Standards Act of SK
* Lead by example at all times by adhering and promoting Company procedures and policies
* Promote adherence to HACCP/CFIA regulations and best practices at all times
Requirements:
* Business degree/ diploma with a focus in HR Management or combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in HR with a year minimum at the Management Level
* Seasoned ability to act professionally in complicated situations and maintain confidentiality
* Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize workloads
