Description

The Program Assistant works with children and families with children ages 0 - 6 years providing guidance, planning and delivering/facilitating child and child/parent activities, programs and assists with Special Events.  Activities provide opportunities for creative expression and social development through sensory play, art, dramatic play and music. The Program Assistant facilitates "Let's Play" a weekly parent/tot program engaging parents in child led cooperative play; plans and facilitates "Messy Fingers", a 10 week introduction to preschool program for children ages 3 - 5 years; and provides childcare support for parenting programs.

Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education courses or equivalent education, minimum 2 years related work experience
Understanding of the developmental needs of children ages 0-5 years
Understanding of parenting children ages 0-5
Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid training, Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License
Creative, energetic, fun
Ability to work well with children, parents and staff
