The FASD Life Skills Program is funded by the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region under a contract that is renewed on an annual basis. This position is full-time.
The position is a non-unionized and outside of the clinic's collective agreement therefore group health insurance and pension benefits are unavailable.
The Addictions & Life Skills Coach works with older youth and adults with FASD.

Primary Function
To run life skills programming and addictions
support for youth and adults with FASD.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of FASD and its impact upon
an individual's abilities and behaviours
- Basic knowledge of human behavior and
addictions and the impact of FASD
- Able to establish and maintain positive professional relationships with families and care givers
- Knowledge and experience working with relevant
community/support groups and government
agencies
- Group facilitation skills for people with cognitive
disabilities and behavioral issues
- Experience working with youth and adults at risk
- Demonstrated ability to be calm and non-
judgmental
- Creative, enthusiastic and self motivated
- Ability to work alone and to collaborate
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Qualifications
- Post secondary education in a relevant field
(e.g.,social work, social sciences, justice, health care, education etc.)
- 3-5 years relevant work experience
- Valid drivers license and reliable motor vehicle
- Criminal Records Check with vulnerable persons check
