Applications are invited for the position of a permanent full-time (7.5 hrs/day 10 months)
Outreach Worker II serving the communities of Hudson Bay & Porcupine Plain with duties to
commence August 31st, 2015 or as soon as can be mutually agreed upon.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Integrated Services the successful applicant will work closely with school administration, staff, parents, the community, and other agencies to implement and coordinate programs for at-risk children as well as develop and implement effective strategies that will support all children and youth.
To qualify as an Outreach Worker II, the successful candidate will possess:
-a Bachelors degree in Social Work or Psychology from a recognized post secondary
institution
-experience working with aboriginal children and youth
-experience working with at-risk youth and their families
-strong organizational skills
-be willing to work a flexible schedule
-a valid drivers license with access to a motor vehicle
-Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union
