Description

Peter Ballantyne Child and Family Services Inc. is accepting applications for one full time Program Supervisor position for the PBCFSI office in Deschambault Lake. Duties:

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Supervisor will oversee the delivery of the child and family services including:
-The Child Protection Program
-The Child and Family services program;
-Casual and on call workers; and
-Receptionist and Janitor
Provides support and on the job training to the Deschambault Lake office employees.
Assists in the overall development of the program within the context of community based practices
Ensures that the full range of Child and Family Services is delivered in accordance with the Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act
Other related duties

Qualifications:

-Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indian Social Work with at least 3 years of Child and Family Services agency experience at the supervisory/ managerial level.
-Demonstrate the ability to support, train and manage the Deschambault Lake office employees.
-Commitment to protect and advocate on behalf of PBCN children and to work with families in crisis.
-Ability to work collaboratively with the Family Wellness Centre Supervisor
-Willingness to particiapte in training
-Willingness to travel when required
-Willingness to provide supervisory on call coverage after regualr office hours and weekends.
-Willingness to work after hours when required
-Excellent written and oral communication and public speaking skills.
-Employment will be determined based on a satisfactory criminal record and child abuse registry check
-Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
-Must have a working telephone at home
-Knowledge of the Cree culture, language, political and social
