Southeast College is currently recruiting for an instructor for the Heavy Equipment & Truck & Transport (HETT) program offered from Weyburn, SK.

CONTRACT TERMS
Total Number of Days: 150*
Contract Start Date: August 31, 2015
Contract End Date:  April 8, 2016

* This includes 15 days of orientation from August 31  September 18th. Orientation is hosted from the Sask Polytechnic (previously SIAST) facility in Saskatoon. Related travel expenses will be paid by the College.

DUTIES
1.    Select, design, update and construct training aids/materials.
2.    Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations for education purposes.
3.    Evaluate students through the use of exams, assignments and observations; and to record student progress.
4.    Supervise students in classroom, shop, labs, tours, etc.
5.    Assist in/arrange for equipment maintenance within the program.
6.    Assist in conducting and maintaining inventory, and in ordering supplies, equipment and books.
7.    Possess good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in a team environment.
8.    Communicate orally and on paper, ideas and concepts in an accurate and concise manner.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Required
1.    Grade 12 or equivalent.
2.    Journey person Certificate in the Heavy Equipment Mechanics or Truck & Transport mechanical Repair trade.
3.    Two years recent/relevant post-Journey person experience as a Heavy Equipment or Truck & Transport Mechanical repair mechanic.
4.    Effective interpersonal skills.
5.    Effective communication skills.
6.    Demonstrates valuing diversity.
