Reporting to the Principal and NOEC School Board, the Education & Cultural Community Coordinator is responsible for the all aspects of cultural support activities to enhance cultural perspective to NOEC students. The position will also address social and cultural issues to facilitate students access to both local and community support. They will work with parents/guardians, teachers, those that provide academic support and counselling at NOEC and the broader community to assist students to be successful in their academic endeavors.
Education: A minimum of two years of post-secondary training in social work, human justice or equivalent post-secondary education in a related area from a provincially recognized institution with appropriate training and experience. A bachelor degree in social work, psychology, sociology or equivalent degree program would be an asset.
Certificates/Licenses: Valid Drivers License
Clearances: Updated Criminal Record Check that includes vulnerable sector check
