David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Technical Writer for the role of Documentation Technician - Final Assembly Instructions  for its agricultural manufacturing operation located 2 hours outside Regina, SK.

The Role:

Our client requires a Technical Writer for the role of Technical Writer, Documentation Technician - Final Assembly Instructions. The role is responsible for taking technical information and rewriting it in a way that can be easily understood and utilized by non-technical individuals. The successful candidate will create the operating and maintenance manuals which will include instruction manuals, user guides, and system manuals. You will be required to create work instructions for the export assembly teams for the specific to the building of new and existing product lines. Creating these documents requires a great deal of research and subject matter knowledge therefore the incumbent should be a subject matter expert, or have a strong familiarity with agricultural equipment and manufacturing.

The Ideal Candidate:

University degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or equivalent, with 3 years of experience in technical communications. Excellent written skills in English paired with strong attention to detail, strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft office) and must be able to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.  Previous agricultural and / or manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset.
