Description

Amec Foster Wheelers Mining business is seeking a Construction Instrumentation Coordinator at our Legacy project site near Bethune, SK. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide support on a major project. Key Responsibilities
Participating in tender and contract preparation
Establishing and monitoring contract budgets and schedules, including hourly rate and firm price contracts
Supervising and coordinating the work of multiple contractors on site with respect to safety, quality of work, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, and design documents
Ensuring that Amec Foster Wheeler and client Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) programs are implemented and adhered to at all times
Participating in the turnover process by assembling completion checklists and other construction records for inclusion in turnover and closeout documents
Role Requirements
Minimum of 8-15 years of civil experience in the construction industry covering electrical, instrumentation and control systems with 3 years as a trade superintendent or foreman in construction or a similar heavy industrial environment
Previous experience in the management of on-site SHE programs
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications and data sheets
Previous experience in a heavy mining operation is an asset
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment
