Description

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervision of staff ensuring the continued operation of all facilities and equipment, also manage annual repairs and maintenance budgets for facilities.
Responsibilities
Minimize interruptions through planned maintenance.  
Report on key performance indicators and report on budget variance
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program
Work with administrative staff to schedule internal assets for demand work orders.
Follow Olymels purchasing policy
Use root cause analysis to develop written proposals to include: rationale, costs and alternatives for proposed solutions that address ongoing systemic/repetitive issues.
Ensure that all staff members are properly trained to perform duties.
Participate in meetings.
Work with Central Purchasing to ensure that sufficient replacement parts are available to address emergent needs, with a focus on a reasonable inventory rotation.
Ensure that all work is of high quality and meets codes and/or professional standards
At all times maintain effective communication, develop and maintain effective working relationships with unit staff, barn maintenance technicians, external resources and Facilities Management team
Ensure that all work is done in a safe manner biosecurity protocols are followed
Provide timely response to urgent maintenance request as they come up through demand work order/Maintenance email system, using the 5 animal freedoms as a basis for setting priority
Other related duties
Requirements
At least 10 years of Maintenance, Construction or Trade Experience
Experienced Manager
Effective oral and written communication skills
A valid drivers license for the province of Saskatchewan
Strong leadership, analytic and interpersonal skills
Strong Organizational Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
