Description

Yorkton Memorial Gardens requires a Grounds Specialist to work co-operatively with other staff in all aspects of ground maintenance, including mowing, pesticide and herbicide applications, pruning, landscape maintenance, snow removal as well as regular maintenance of equipment and assisting with interments in all seasons.

This position is also responsible for working co-operatively with other staff in the maintenance of the facilities, including painting, custodial work such as vacuuming, cleaning windows, cleaning bathrooms, removing cobwebs, and set up and take down of tables and chairs for gatherings.

Must be conscious of and committed to safety, customer service, company standards, goals, and teamwork.

Must be willing and able to work on a Saturday or beyond the normal work day to assist with interments as required.

The Grounds Specialist is required to perform physical labour both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.  Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 100 lbs.  Must be able to operate a variety of equipment and small tools.

This position requires a valid Drivers License and must be insurable.  One year previous grounds keeping experience and/or cemetery experience preferred.
