DESIGNATED EQUITY POSITION-ABORIGINAL CANDIDATES
The Student Recruitment Officer is an in-scope position reporting to the Director responsible for Student Recruitment for the College.   The Student Recruitment Officer will act as a liaison between the College and communities and specifically students interested in Northlands College, they will provide direction to those students through the recruitment cycle.  The Student Recruitment Officer will also be the contact for guidance counselors, high school teachers, and community representatives interested in having Northlands College representation at recruitment off-campus events such as career fairs and school registrations.  

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Raising the College's profile by participating in off-campus recruitment activities, assist with on-campus information days, Open House sessions, and special tours for specific or large groups.  Work in collaboration with the marketing and student services departments to make suggestions on improvements to the recruitment process and identify new opportunities and markets, contacting and meeting high school counselors and teachers to promote programs, participating in classroom visitations and other special events to explain programs to potential students, providing information regarding admission requirements and program benefits to prospective students. The Recruitment Officer will also work with staff to coordinate assigned activities with those of other departments, and outside agencies and organizations, develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors/staff across northern Saskatchewan, develop recruitment plans for academic programs and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Knowledge of admissions criteria and familiarity with post-secondary educational systems; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Demonstrated ability to connect with students; Ability to asses student academic pre-requisites
