David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an individual to join their Animal Nutrition Sales team based in Swift Current.

Did you grow up a cattle or mixed farm? This role is for a down to earth person who knows how to do sales around the kitchen table; while drinking coffee and getting to know their clients well. If you are all about building long term relationships, servicing clients daily and weekly, this role is for you. This client is willing to train and teach about their industry if you have the right attitude and personality.

This client is a well-established organization in the animal health/nutrition and feed sector. The ideal candidate will be very hands on with their clients, interested in the growth of their business and has a natural interest in working within the animal nutrition industry. Preference will be for a candidate who understands and has lived in the farming community.

The Role:

Regularly calls on clients to maintain and grow strong relationships
Engages with producers to help in understanding their businesses; solves problems and comes up with solutions
Prospects within the livestock and feed sector to grow business accounts

The Ideal Candidate:

1 - 3 years of sales experience working with an existing client base
Post-secondary education in animal health/nutrition, agricultural business or related an asset
Experience and interest in the farming, livestock or feed industries
Relationship and customer service focused sales style
Casual, warm, laid back and friendly personality
Driven and independent sales professional
Able to develop and grow new business relationships
Motivated and enthusiastic
Must have own truck and be willing to travel within the territory

Compensation:

Salary, commission after 3 months, benefits, vacation, KM reimbursement, laptop and cellphone
