Construction Estimator
Meridian Development Corp., an industry leader and dynamic real estate firm in Saskatoon, is
seeking a Construction Estimator to grow with the organization. The successful candidate is a
results oriented, self-motivated individual with leadership qualities, strong communication and
organizational skills, as well a team player.
Job Responsibilities
Single family residential and multi-family construction estimating.
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentation to
assist in the preparation of time, cost, and labor estimates for all phases of a project.
Responsible for cost calculations and quantity take-offs to be inputted into budgets.
Cost calculations of extras and upgrades.
Researching new and existing products.
Communicate and liaise with estimators, purchasers, sales team, construction team and
consultants.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors.
Correspond with our trade partners and suppliers.
Job Qualifications
Minimum 5 years residential single dwelling and/or multi-family construction estimating
experience is necessary.
Knowledge of residential construction and the ability to read and interpret drawings and
specifications.
Experience in computer applications such as Timberline, Outlook, Excel and Word will be
an asset.
Work independently and as part of a team on projects and day to day tasks.
