Description

Purpose of Position
Responsible for visioning and executing fundraising and recruitment efforts including corporate sponsorships and donations, individual donations, special events, gaming, community presentations, etc. Develop and nurture corporate and community partners for the purposes of fundraising and to elevate the profile of the agency in the community.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Plan Research and Progress
Ensure that strategic direction is carried out in a timely and cost effective manner
Special Events
Manage/or support special events throughout the year
Identify and recruit event committee members where appropriate
Seek out third party fundraising opportunities
Corporate Donations/Sponsorships
Develop and build relationships with community businesses
Plan and execute corporate sponsorship programs
Marketing & Community Engagement
Develop a comprehensive communication plan to promote the organization to its donors and maximize public awareness of the fundraising activities of the organization  
Identify and cultivate community, corporate, and media contacts for recruiting volunteers
Develop and implement an annual recruitment campaign in coordination  
Provide event support to promote and enhance agency community visibility  
Recruitment & Retention
Develop and implement and annual plan to meet agency recruitment needs in collaboration with Director of Marketing and Recruitment  
Coordinate, plan, organize and deliver presentations  
Qualifications / Competencies
The successful candidate will possess:
University Bachelors Degree (Human Services, Marketing, Communications, Development, or related)
Two years experience  
Excellent presentation and marketing skills, and the ability to effectively represent the agency to partners and potential volunteers  
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and target driven
