Description

The Family Centre Working Group, a collaborative of community and government stakeholders is seeking an Early Years Family Centre Facilitator to assist in the achievement of the Early Years Family Centre Outcomes seeking a Part Time facilitator for participative program for parents and caregivers and their 0-6 year old children for a term position, with the possibility of extension.
The facilitator will:
work at our Early Years Family Centre sites creating a learning rich environment for families including drop-in periods and scheduled sessions with programming partners
plan, organize and facilitate age appropriate play based learning and sessions for children and parents that reflect the stages of child development
create collaborative working relationships with community partners and integrate their professional expertise into the programming offered
coordinate and supervise volunteers when required
maintain the physical space ensuring appropriate and adequate resources are available
assist in data collection from participants
provide families with information and linkages or referrals to outside agencies when required

The successful applicant:
ECE III or Educational background
Valid First Aid/ CPR
Valid Drivers licence and ability to commute locally
Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
Experience working in early childhood education with 0-6 year old children and their parents/caregivers
Candidate should demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the importance of early childhood development and understand the vision of Play and Exploration Program Guide
Experience facilitating programs with both adults and children
The ability to work flexible hours:daytime, early evening and weekends
Be self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision
Candidate must be a responsible adult who models positive behaviour
