Description

Looking for a full-time caregiver to care for 3 children.   You will be responsible for the household in the absence of the parents.

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, bathe, dress and groom the children. Meal preparation. Read stories, sing songs, play age appropriate games, tend to emotional well being of the children, provide comfort, accompany to and from appointments as required, play groups, the park etc.

Non-Smoking household.  

Household support includes light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation.

Wage $11.27/hour, 40 hours per week, occasional shift work. Room and board provided - No charge if required.  NOTE: This is not a condition of employment.

Requirements, Skills and Abilities, other:

Criminal record check required

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Organize, activities such as games and outings for children. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. You will prepare craft materials and assist children to use them. Read to children, - supervision, take to and from school and to appointments. You will also require the ability to use a computer to help with homework which will include using the internet and word processing.

Relocation costs covered by employer. Urban area and accommodation available (personal bathroom / wi-fi internet service). Work in employer's home.

Drivers licence preferred but not required.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding with regards to several medical conditions.  You will be cognizant of  the child's allergies and recognize the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis. You must have the ability to use an epipen in an emergent situation.  You must be familiar with asthma medications and protocols as two children have asthma and require inhalers.  You will also require knowledge of laryngomalacia and recognize the signs of breathing difficulties such as croup.
