Description

Duties:
Ensure daily and weekly productivity, quality and department targets are met or exceeded; monitor performance to ensure the line is meeting or exceeding the targets
Coordinate team environment with all line sorters to achieve set goals
Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary
Enable resolution of issues/problems between employees
Manage employee morale by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic
Assist in developing and implementing strategies around improving the performance of employees
Ensure that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of previous supervisory experience with proven leadership abilities
Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes
Able to identify key issues; overcome internal challenges or obstacles
A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills, while initiating effective communication
Valid Class 5 license required
As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date. A criminal record check and current drivers abstract will also be required.
