The Good Spirit School Division invites all interested applicants to apply for the full-time permanent position of Aboriginal Community Worker located at the Yorkton Regional High School in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Position Details:
Perm. Full-Time
Assignment:
7.5 hrs/school days
Term:
To commence as soon as possible
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
Experience and/or training working with at-risk youth and First Nations youth
Demonstrated ability to work independently & in a team environment, possess good communication skills and has demonstrated ability to network with First Nations communities.
Duties:
Plan and oversee the annual YRHS Pow Wow in the spring
Conduct home visits as required
Facilitate sweats with the Native Studies classes
Provide transportation to students unable to arrive to school for exams
Other duties as outlined in AP 461-Aboriginal Community Worker: Role and Responsibilities
Salary:
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the current CUPE Local 4784 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
