As the educational leader in the classroom, the Business Instructor will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula with the purpose of promoting student success. They are to plan, organize and implement instructional activities which create a learning environment that guides and provides the greatest opportunity for student success. These include the following broad range of accountabilities:
* Prepare appropriate planning documents for course delivery; including the following courses: Finance, Accounting and Marketing.
* Incorporate current technology advancements within instruction and administration where applicable
* Make recommendations as necessary to Learning Services and/or Program Coordinator to assist them in obtaining personal support for academic/non-academic concerns
* Adhere to and promote academic regulations and SIIT policies and procedures
* Foster a positive, collaborative and professional working relationship among students, coworkers and partners across the institution
* Ensures a positive, diverse and inclusive work and learning environment
* Complete all course-required materials including attendance records and course evaluations
* Maintain classroom and lab discipline and, if necessary, recommend action to applicable supervisor regarding student behavior, including formal student disciplinary action

Required Qualifications and Experience: A business-related degree or diploma from an accredited institution. For success in this position a genuine commitment to help students learn and succeed is required. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations would be an asset.
