Smittys Petro Canada is seeking a dedicated, committed individual to join our team as a DINING ROOM MANAGER. We are a restaurant located adjacent to HWY-1 in Moose Jaw, SK.
The dining room manager reports to the owner & operators and works in conjunction with the kitchen manager. The dining room manager not only assumes the role and responsibility of the front of house leader, but will also be able to work as a waiter/waitress with the ability to earn extra on top of the paid salary from tips. This position pays a starting salary of $13.00/hour with a 40hr/week ranging from Monday-Sunday, as scheduled. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years managerial experience. Health and Dental benefits may be provided in the future with a long tenure.
JOB PURPOSE
The Dining Room Manager has the day-to-day responsibility for operating and maintaining the restaurant in a manner that promotes guest satisfaction and maximizes profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Enhance guest satisfaction to build repeat business
Consistently interact with guests to ensure satisfaction
Build average check by targeting features, up-selling, dessert sales and liquor sales
Effectively manage labour plan and spending and schedule according to sales trends and budget
Train and coach staff to follow Smittys operating standards at all times
Ensure all Loss Prevention programs to do with liquor, cash, food, POS use, and sales are implemented and monitored
Manage staff in a manner that improves performance and encourages retention
Provide consistent communication to all staff
Conduct selective hiring with reference checks
Train and educate staff on the implementation of any new products
Utilize staff meetings to train and coach staff to reach objectives
Ensure cleaning schedule activities are completed daily and weekly
Execute the completion of staff checklists each day
Complete staff schedules in detail ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts
