Job Description: The Sun Country Health Region (SCHR) is looking for a dynamic individual to serve as Regional Director, Employee Health and Support Services.  Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources, the Regional Director is accountable for the overall strategic direction of region-wide services in the areas of Occupational Health & Safety, Disability Management, Employee Health & Wellness, and Attendance Management.  The incumbent will assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of new and existing Employee Health and Support services and resources in accordance with the vision, mission, and goals of the Sun Country Health Region (SCHR) and Lean methadology.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to program, policy and budget development, participation in Provincial and Regional committees, statistical reporting, relationship management, program negotiations, and service education.

The successful candidate will possess:
    Minimum of 3 years experience in occupational health and safety and/or disability management (preferably in health care), including at least one year in management.
    Bachelors degree
    Lean Certification (or prepared to obtain).
    Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access)
    Excellent management, leadership, organizational and decision making skills
    Exceptional written and oral communication skills
    In depth knowledge of principles of collective bargaining agreement application and interpretation, and related provincial legislation
    Possess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build effective teams and maintain relations based on trust, accountability, and open communications
    Strong analytical and problem solving skills
