Description

This position will develop, implement and maintains programs, policies and standards related to quality assurance, safety, and regulatory issues; oversees issues relating to conformance/non-conformance and provides direction on improvements; and provides on-going quality leadership, coaching and training for all POS team members. POS has certification by SGS for compliance to the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

Specifically in regards to QA/QC this professional is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and 3rd party audit requirements; overseeing the quality control laboratory and quality control team; implementing and improving quality management programs and procedures; watching over the day-to-day facility operations to ensure adherence to all quality and regulatory standards; assuring compliance of materials, products and services with agreed to specifications; developing, driving and continuously improving food safety and quality systems; and developing, implementing, driving and delivering superior execution of business and customer expectations

The ideal candidate would have strong working knowledge/experience on CFIA Import regulations in diverse commodities. He/she should have experience with GMP, GLP. Knowledge on safety and environmental regulations would be an asset. He/she should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and a willingness to work in a team environment.  A high degree of job knowledge, leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and decision making skills are essential.  
    
Above all, you will ensure positive and productive work relationships are cultivated/maintained within the company, while continuously improving quality standards.
