2 Part Time Mental Health Therapists to provide crisis response & therapeutic support services to the PBCN membership in the communities of Pelican Narrows, Deschambault Lake, Southend, Sandy Bay and Sturgeon Landing. Positions are based out of Prince Albert office, the services will be provided exclusively in the above communities and therefore requires extensive travel. The Mental Health Therapists will work closely with the Elders & Holistic Health team & be an integral part of the community, multi disciplinary health services team and be responsible for providing the following services within a team approach and utilizing evidence informed and best practices in the areas of: Crisis prevention, intervention and aftercare; Individual, family and community assessments, interventions and therapeutic supports (addictions, grief & loss, anxiety and depression and other mental health and behavioural conditions/disorders); Case management; Policy, procedures, protocols and program development; Membershiip and capacity development with community Holistic Health and Nursing staff.
These positions liaises and collaborates with other professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and physicians in treatment, planning and implementation.
