Description

We are presently seeking a part-time medical office assistant for our clinic.
The Kliniek on Main is a Primary Health Care clinic located in Moose Jaw and part of the Five Hills Health Region.
The medical office assistant will be working with a team of medical office assistants, providing support to four physicians and two nurse practitioners

The clinic is open Monday to Friday, closed on weekends and holidays
Daytime hours: 8.00 am to 4.30 pm  (hours may vary)
Start date: September 1, 2015
Wage: $17.00 per hour
Benefits: The option is available to be part of a group medical and dental plan

Responsibilities:

    General office administrative duties (answering phones, medical billing, patient bookings, medical records management, third party billing, faxes)
    Office inventory
    Ensuring exam rooms are stocked daily
    Other projects as needed
Qualifications:
    Medical Office Assistant certificate is preferred, however, candidates with equivalent experience in a medical office will be considered
    Experience with Med Access Electronic Medical Record is an asset
    Experience in a medical office setting
    Medical terminology and billing knowledge
    Strong work ethic, must be self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    Strong communication skills, problem solving skills
    Ability to work under pressure with multiple changing priorities
