We are looking for a Service Manager to join our Team!
Our service managers provide leadership to the service department to meet financial goals through productive staffing, customer retention, technician training, and quality workmanship while improving productivity, reducing costs, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
What will your responsibilities be?
Overseeing the daily operations of the service department
Providing expert advice for technical repairs, customer service and policies/procedures
Supervision of staff while creating and maintaining a productive work environment
Hire, retain, and ensure proper training of staff
Provide effective feedback on staff performance
Maintain relationships and communicate with other Maxim divisions
Assemble annual budgets and productivity measures and review progress periodically
Make phone calls and in-person sales calls to increase business with target customers
What will you need to succeed in this role?
5 years in the medium/heavy duty truck (or related) industry in a Service Manager role
Experience in running a profitable service shop
Knowledge of fleet and/or dealer maintenance procedures and systems
Previously supervised at least 10-15 employees
Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel, email, Internet and keyboarding
Exposure to a centralized billing system
Business education or training an asset
Mechanical aptitude an asset
Strong business acumen with a focus on results
Exceptional leadership skills with ability to motivate and coach
Organized, with a strong ability to set/meet priorities and solve problems
