The School Meal Programs Cooks will be responsible for the coordinating and managing of food service delivery for the School Meal Program (Breakfast & Lunch) for Saulteaux First Nation. This is a term position to June 30, 2016.
Job Duties:
Cook(s) will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of food service to school students
Establish and maintain good communication with Band Liaison (NCB Coordinator or designate), food vendor, staff (principals, teachers, etc) and casual cook(s).
Develop a monthly menu, including portion control, nutrition, cost per meal and provide to Band Liaison (NCB Coordinator or designate)
Order according to monthly meal plans
Maintain an inventory and storage of food and equipment
Maintain clean workstations
Prepare and handle food according for Safe Food Handling and Nutritional Guidelines.
Provide time sheets, incident reports, or other pertinent information to Band Liaison
Hours of work are Monday to Friday - part time 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
Must have Safe Food Handling
Should have a Valid Drivers License
First Aide/CPR
Grade 10 or equivalent
Speak Cree/Saulteaux would be an asset
CPIC
Must have good communication skills, and be patient
