DUTIES:
The Admin Support 2 is responsible for Visitor Services and Collections maintenance at the Lloydminster Cultural & Science Centre. Duties for this position include:
- Provide helpful and accurate information to visitors and tourists, in person, by phone, and email
- Conduct tours of the exhibits
- Assist with the development and delivery of programming
- Manage the LCSC heritage & art collection
- Installation of exhibits
- Process admissions, bookings, and registrations
- Provide front desk coverage
Other duties may be assigned on occasion. This position involves evening and weekend work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a completed grade 12 education, as a minimum. A certificate, diploma, or degree in museum studies, history, or material culture, is preferred. Previous experience in a cultural or heritage facility is considered an asset. Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, and have strong attention to detail. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Must be capable of working independently, neatly, accurately and be able to converse with the public in a clear and concise manner, both in person and by telephone. Alberta and Saskatchewan Child Welfare checks and a Criminal Record check will be required before hiring.
