24 HR Animal Care Centre is seeking motivated veterinary technicians who enjoy the challenge of emergency and routine companion animal care to join our AAHA accredited team. New grads are welcome!
Our hospital is fully equipped with paperless Cornerstone practice management software, full in-house Idexx laboratory, 2 SurgiVet Advisors, ultrasonic dental unit, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, K-Laser and CytoVetStat. Join an excellent team that cares for patients 24 hours a day with compassion and professionalism. Our technicians usually work 14-16 (12 hour) shifts per month, rotating between nights, days and weekends. We also have shifts available on a part-time and casual basis.
Employees are offered paid SAVT dues, uniform allowance, group health benefits, continuing education, and subsidized pet care. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
The applicant is required to have completed an accredited Veterinary Technology course. We look forward to hearing from YOU!

- Registration by a provincial or territorial, or regional association as Registered Animal Health Technologist, Registered Veterinary Technician
Specific Skills
- Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
- Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
- Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Counsel clients on animal health care
- Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery
