Dutch Industries is looking for a Journeyman Machinist with simple programing CNC Mills and Lathes experience.
1. To execute the daily and weekly management priorities from the planning and communicate these in a daily format to the Production Manager
2. To Setup and programming of CNC equipment
3. To Manage 7 employees both machines and carbiding tables staff
4. To use Lean Initiatives to drive continuous improvement
5. To ensure that all promise dates/commitments made by the Production Manager are kept related to your staff
6. To work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that the equipment is effective for production
7. To ensure that each production staff member understands what is expected of them in terms of production targets and conduct
8. To ensure that every product or service rendered by Dutch Industries would be at the stated standard of quality and to ensure that safety remains a priority. Understand all safety procedures
9. To effectively manage work flow to the production staff to encourage stability and efficiency. To maintain shift patterns and resource levels to ensure that the production staff availability and effectiveness is optimized
10. To ensure each worker has a voice to effect change in Dutch Industries that supports the corporate team values and goals and be the production workers advocate
11. To ensure the machine floor is clean, organized, de-cluttered, safe and efficient. Participate closely with engineers re: layout and machine requirements
12. To manage machine consumables to minimize costs and maximize production outputs/capacities
13. Effectively train, cross-train, recruit and mentor machine operators
Knowledge of BobCAD/MasterCAM would be an asset.
Your own tool boxes will be nice. Replacement will be entirely covered by the company.
The positive attitude is equally important as technical skills.
