Summary:
Under the direction of the Health Program Manager and working in cooperation with the Saskatoon Tribal Council Community Addictions Program Coordinator, the Community Addictions Prevention Program worker is responsible for carrying contributing to the health team by sharing thoughts, ideas and knowledge which will improve the quality of life of individuals, families, and the community.
This position will include the delivery of programs that recognize a holistic approach to wellness.
The Community Addiction Prevention Program(CAPP) Worker will provide assessment, treatment, consultation and counseling services for a broad range of emotional, social, behavioral and mental health problems, including addictions. He/she will collaborate with teachers, band staff and parents regarding troubled and at risk children, adults and families surrounding addictions issues. The CAPP Worker will work with the health team regarding community and service developments, assist with crisis counseling during and/or after a crisis incident involving addictions. As well as providing follow - up and providing after treatment recovery plans.
