Duties:
>Develop and monitors annual budgets and yearly program planning;
>Develop proposals, reports, service delivery models and track statistical information;
>Actively involved in development of 5 year community health plan, strategic plan and evaluation; Provide supervision and direction to Head Start staff;
>Ensure that the Head Start Program meets health and safety standards;
>Maintain positive public relations with clients; Work effectively with the health care team;
>Oversee health promotion programs, community education events and planning individual and/or group workshops for families with preschool with preschool age children.
>Effective conflict resolution and problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure;
>Other duties as directed by supervisor and/or delegate;
Education & Qualifications:
>Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development and/or relevant education; Five (5) years of experience in a child care setting with minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role.
>Possess a Valid First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS and Food Safety Handler's Certificate or willing to be certified;
>Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
>Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs;
>Ability to speak/understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture is an asset;
>Security Clearance: Current Criminal Record Clearance/Child Abuse Record Check and Driver?s Abstract required upon hire;
>Valid Driver's License is required;
