The successful applicant for this position will provide person-centered supports to adults with intellectual disabilities in a home setting. In addition, they will be responsible for the successful operation of the home itself and the leadership and supervision of a team of Direct Support Professionals. The residential Team Leader is responsible to the Residential Program Manager and the Executive Director.
Preferred qualifications may include:
Related experience in positive support programming, working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviours, and leading others in their provision of support for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Above average competency in creating documents using the Microsoft Office Software package, proficiency in using the internet and email applications, and the proven ability to lead meetings and present to groups.
A proven ability to work collaboratively with other professionals. This may include medical professionals, other MHSI staff, Community Living Service Delivery Personal, therapists, etc.
Strong organizational skills including money management, agenda preparation, clear and effective documentation, and basic financial math.
Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
Requirements:
Understanding and support of the Mission, Vision and Values of Menno Homes of Sask. Inc.
A Valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence
A clean criminal record check
Minimum of 2 years related experience
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including some floor shifts
