As a Mine Expansion Manager, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective guidance and execution of the mine expansion project including all underground and shaft/hoist areas. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Capital Director, technical and operations interdepartmental staff, site mine personnel as well as contractors, engineering consultants, vendors and suppliers to ensure that mine expansion goals and objectives are achieved.

Education:
Must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering majoring in Mining, Mechanical or related discipline
Registered as P. Eng in the province of Saskatchewan
Experience:
Must have more than 15 years of experience preferably in the Potash processing industry
Skills and Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable of Saskatchewan OH&S Act and Regulations as well as other Provincial and Federal Safety & Environmental regulations in effect
Excellent interpersonal and communication and interpersonal skills are required
Solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Kronos, Maximo and Computer Assisted Drafting & Design
Should be organized and motivated
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating and directing overall technical plan for the Mine expansion project
Supervise engineering & technical activities including the technical activities of contractors and consultants
Monitor overall project costs vs. budget including contractors/labour, consultants, materials and all other costs
Intercede if project costs are conflicting unfavorably from plan. Report on cost variances with reasons and suggest corrective actions
Obtaining project approvals, deciding on staffing and manpower requirements, appropriate spending levels, reporting on progress and providing approvals and authorizations throughout completion of the project
