Description

Reporting to the Site General Manager at Vanscoy Potash Operations (VPO), the Mine Manager will be responsible to oversee operation activities of the Vanscoy Mine. The Mine Manager will ensure service and operating guidelines are followed, as well as provide input into the design and development of processes, procedures and best practices.

The scope of this role includes:
6-8 direct reports and over 400 total employees (union and non-union)
$70M-$80M per year in operating expenses
$60M/year in capital projects

Qualifications:
Degree in Mining and/or Geological Engineering
5 - 7 years of senior managerial mining experience
Demonstrated strategic leadership experience
Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to effectively prioritize job duties
Effective oral and written communication skills with internal and external contacts
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Underground mining experience
Potash or related experience ideal, but not mandatory
Certification in Lean and Six Sigma desirable

There is one permanent, full time vacancy. The wage range will be based on experience, an approximate wage range of $90,000 to $175,900. A comprehensive flexible benefits package will be provided and includes health benefits, pension, vacation, and an annual bonus.
